Voices: Songs of Protest, Peace, Outrage, and Unity

Matte Black Sound Company is proud to release Voices: Songs of Protest, Peace, Outrage, and Unity - a compilation album features artists of all backgrounds from all across the country, all coming to gather to raise their voices against injustice.

Systemic racism and social injustice have been, and continue to be, a major problem in the US and across the globe - this is something that has to change.

This compilation features artists of all genres and backgrounds from across the nation, all uniting to raise their voices and stand up against racism, against oppression, and against the abuse of power displayed by police and the justice system, all in effort to come together to further spark societal change. We believe that songs like these help make the world a better place, sparking conversations of change and moments of reflection.

Music has always been a way to connect us to the world around us, and it is our hope that these songs help dismantle the ongoing issues of racism, prejudice and inequality in any way that they can.

All proceeds from this project will be split evenly and effectively donated to the following organizations that take initiative in the fight against inequality here in the United States: Black Lives Matter, Campaign Zero, The NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund.
