NEW RELEASE: Matthew McNeal - "Love Was"

LOVE WAS - the latest release from Matthew McNeal & co. - is the band’s most personal work to date. Recorded just weeks after McNeal lost his stepfather, the songs have an earnest and honest feel from start to finish. Recorded by Ted Young at Redwood Studios in Denton (TX), the EP is the first body of work to feature Austin Davis and Andrew Rothlisberger, two of the touring bandmates that have teamed up with McNeal and Andre Black.

The songs feature Joey McClellan (Elle King) on ‘Dawning’ and Kenny Wayne Hollingsworth (Leon Bridges) on “The Hardest Part. All songs were mixed by Ted Young and Mastered by Jessica Thompson.

The Hardest Part was featured as one of 91.7 KXT’s (the DFW NPR affiliate station) songs of the year from the local music community.
